Springerville, AZ Riparian Restoration Project
Natural Channel Design, inc, has finished their riparian restoration project and evaluation on a stretch of the Little Colorado River near Springerville, AZ.
The site can be visited on a constructed trail: "The trail provides a public walkway along the Little Colorado River from Hwy 260 to Airport Road in Springerville, with a total distance of approximately 4,300 feet."

The Ortiz Mountains Preserve is managed by the Santa Fe Botanical Garden and is open only to guided tours.

things i found on a summer hike at a ski resort in the lower sierras
eye drops and a single dime and...
economies of organisms, leaves, sticks and color

icecubes on the face, keep me awake
the hours field mice spend gnawing on nuts
dreams speeded up to cartoonishness
the way a bicycle amplifies someone running
white charcoal on the black foundations
a house gutted by red fire as tall as the green pine
arrows anchor the earth where the man, his wife, and their children stood
and what is money?
