For example, researchers at the UA study novelty-seeking in mice because they are interested in novelty-seeking in humans. And they study monkeys because they are better analogues of humans. But it is precisely this analogy to humans that makes it morally wrong to use these animals for research, just as it is morally wrong to use humans for this kind of research. Catch-22.
